Vedang Raina Reflects on Challenges Faced During Intense Jail Scenes

Vedang Raina is eagerly waiting for the release of his new Bollywood film Jigra with Alia Bhatt. Recently the trailer of the film was released by the makers which is full of action. Meanwhile, Vedang Raina talked about the emotional difficulties he faced while filming the jail scenes for the film.

Vedang Raina recalls the difficulties while filming the jail scenes 

Let us tell you that Vedang Raina recalled the difficulties while filming the jail scenes for the film in his recent interview. He said that he had to go through a lot of mental trouble to completely get into his character. In the conversation, the actor said, "It was extremely painful. To such an extent that whenever I think about the time when I was on the set for shooting this film, especially the jail scenes, I feel that I have become a different person. I was putting myself through a lot mentally".

Vedang Raina further explained how he prepared for his role to perform well in the film. He admitted that it was difficult for him to connect with the emotions required for his character. The actor said, "I was, but I also prepared a lot to get into that mental state because I was dealing with a feeling I had never felt before, being in prison and waiting for my death. I watched a lot of documentaries on prisons and death row prisoners. I think that helped".

The story of Jigra will be something like this 

The trailer of 'Jigra' begins with Alia Bhatt's phone call. She tries to contact her brother through that phone call. However, her situation worsens after she is sentenced to jail. She is later seen getting trained martially and physically to sneak into a Korean prison and bring her brother back. The trailer features high-octane action, with Alia performing daring stunts, evading guards, and taking extreme steps to save her brother, who is being tortured in prison. She does not give up despite facing obstacles at every turn.

Jigra will release on October 11

Directed by Vasan Bala, with a screenplay written by Bala and Debashish Irengbam, Jigra stars Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina and Aditya Nanda in the lead roles. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions. Jigra is set to release in theaters on October 11, 2024.
